Lynn is a city which is located in Essex County of Massachusetts and has a population of about 86,957. Lynn is one of the oldest industrial towns of The United States. Located just a stones throw from the state capitol Boston, this city is home to Lynn Heritage State Park and Lynn Beach. Lynn town was initially established by Edmund Ingalls in 1629 and was later called Saugus in 1631. The city is named after King Lynn of Norfolk, England. By introducing new initiatives, the police force wanted to educate the citizens of Lynn MA, which is the best way to dispose off unused prescription medication which can otherwise be misused for drug abuse. The program urges the individuals to drop off unused medication samples, over the counter as well as prescription drugs, vitamins, narcotics and other liquid medications at police stations for proper disposal.
Lynn MA has also launched a special Underage Alcohol Enforcement Grant Program which is used for carrying out enforcement of alcohol laws for underage offenders. The Lynn Police Force has sent out a stern message that underage alcoholism will not be tolerated in the city. Special patrols are carried out throughout the city to nab the youngsters who gather at these places to illegally consume alcohol. Checks are also being carried out by the police officers to see if licensed establishments are selling liquor to underage patrons. In order to reduce alcohol problem in youngsters, the bootleggers are being caught and are being given stiff punishments.
