Brockton was initially known by the name North Bridgewater, and its name was changed in 1874 when it was named after a local merchant head of Brockville Ontario by the name of Isaac Brock. Brockton MA was incorporated as a city on April 9th 1881.

The aim of such programs is to motivate the youth of Brockton to steer away from drugs so that they are able to have a bright future.
Brockton MA local authorities are planning to open Recovery High Schools in the city which are equipped with staff and facilities to deal with students who are struggling to recover from the problem of alcoholism and drug addiction. The staff of these schools is trained in such a manner so that they are able to address the needs of students dealing with the problem of drug addiction efficiently. These schools have a proven successful track record and are now being replicated in other parts of the state and country.
