The city of Rockville is the county seat of Montgomery County in Maryland and has a population of 60734 people. The city is a major part of the Washington-Baltimore Metropolitan Area. The city is a home to many biotech and software companies and is a progressing, growing city. The city has some very well established shopping centers which are well known across the region. The city has a council manager form of administration which has proved very effective so far. The city has been inhabited since a long time now with early settlers dating as far back as 1200 A.D.
