The city of District Heights Maryland falls in Prince Georges County in Maryland and has a population of around 6034 people. The city is slowly growing into an urban mass and had modest beginnings as a settlement. The city has the famous Route 4 passing through it. The city was originally just a piece of farmland that was bought by a merchant and it grew very slowly from a small town into a city today. The city is administered by a mayor and a city council that is elected to office once every four years. The city police department is also small and has a modest staffing of about 20 people.
