According to national drug statistical information, approximately 2.1 million young people have used drugs or alcohol at some point in their life. According to a survey performed by the National Risk Behavior Foundation, high school and college aged individuals engage in risk taking behaviors which can directly increase the chances of death from one of the four mentioned causes. We know that without having an aftercare program, young people leaving our program may fall right back into old behavior patterns and be vulnerable to start using or drinking again. Our aftercare program allows a person to continue receiving ongoing therapy and counseling services, which help them transition from treatment and back into a healthy, productive life again, which is what we desire for all our clients.
