THE FULL 360 DEGREES SURROUNDING CHRISTIAN REHAB IN OHIO

Ohio Christian rehab clinics are there to help everyone, regardless of the difficulties that they have been experiencing in their lives - or their beliefs. However, there is a significantly bigger picture to the use of drugs in the state of Ohio. In this report, we are going to look at some of the key facts that surround substance abuse in this area of America, and how it relates to the care which rehabilitation clinics are giving to those who need it.

Cocaine is one of the biggest threats to Ohio citizens

According to information from the Office of National Drug Control Policy, it is cocaine which poses the greatest risk to those who live in Ohio. Irrespective of whether the substance being abused is cocaine or crack cocaine, there are 11,000 people who were receiving rehabilitation treatment in 2006 because of the addiction that they had obtained to cocaine. This is second to marijuana, which is the most widely-abused drug in the state of Ohio. In 2006, there were approximately 14,000 people who were receiving treatment - meaning that there is a difference of 3,000 between the two.

Ohio authorities confiscated more than $54 million worth of drugs in 2006 alone

Working alongside Christian rehab in Ohio in order to try and reduce the impact that drugs are having on society, the Ohio State Highway Patrol has been working proactively to try and unearth areas where drugs are being dealt or are being trafficked. Out of the $54 million worth of drugs which was confiscated, $24 million of this figure was down to marijuana confiscations, with a further $28 million being accountable for the cocaine confiscations which were made in line with the law.

The amount of marijuana plants which were confiscated is an unusually high figure considering the state's population of 11 million. With 42,000 plants obtained by the authorities (and around 34,500 of these plants already cultivated), it would not have been long before this marijuana would have been on the streets and contributing to the chokehold that the drug has on the state.

The amount of people who are receiving treatment for an addiction to drugs is falling

Even though this statement could be mistaken for something which is reassuring, the number of people who are meant to be receiving treatment for a drug dependency should actually be rising. This is because there are 230,000 people who claim to need help for a dependency which they have to drugs every year - help which they are not getting.

There are many rehabilitation clinics throughout Ohio which are completely ready to take on those who are looking to make a change to their lives by getting the help they need in order to move on. Christian organisations are becoming prominent as some of the rehabilitation clinics which can provide excellent care to those who need it the most.

With an emphasis on faith-based rehabilitation, these centers have been taking mental recovery into account as well as physical recovery. Counselling is one of the emphases for many of the courses which are provided across the state, with the one-to-one consultations being given assuring those who are vulnerable and who are looking to overcome their addiction that there are people who care, and that there are people who want them to get better.

During this time, the next of kin of an addict can be lost and unsure what to do. Many rehab programs offer those who are close to an addict the opportunity to learn more about what they are going through, in what is known as an education in chemical dependency. In short, these classes enable people to understand how difficult it is for those who are under the influence to maintain control. In the past, this has helped those who are close to an addict to learn to forgive them for the things which they may have done whilst under the influence of drugs that they had no choice in doing.

An addict needs all the support that they can get when they are on the road to recovery, after an eventful journey which has been blighted by drugs for a long time. Contrary to what many people think, the process that recovery involves is not as simple as many people think - with the vast majority of those who successfully complete their rehabilitation treatment requiring consistent support in the months and years following on from their recovery in order to have the best chance of maintaining the sobriety they achieved.
